Leaves squarrose-recurved, not 3-ranked, obovate to elliptic; margins broadly reflexed near mid leaf; laminal cells rounded-hexagonal, bulging-conic on both surfaces, walls thick; basal cells longer than distal cells.

Distribution

North America, Eurasia, circumboreal.
