|discussion=<p><i>Stellaria humifusa</i> is often confused with <i>S. crassifolia</i>, but has thicker stems and fleshy leaves that wrinkle and tend to turn brownish when dried. Also, in <i>S. crassifolia</i> the long pedicels are very slender and sharply angled below the capsule.</p>
