Fruiting pedicels 4–6.5 mm. Fruits: valves pubescent, often sparsely so, trichomes uniform; style 3–5 mm.
Phenology: Flowering mid May-early Aug.
Habitat: Low ridges of sand and sandstone, bluish shaley clay outcrops, stony soil, open limey knolls, ridges
Elevation: 2100-3400 m
Discussion
Subspecies hemiphysaria is found only in stony meadows of the Wasatch Plateau.
