Habitat: Clay hills and outcrops, manzanita communities, conifer woodlands
Elevation: 90-200 m

Discussion

Of conservation concern.

Variety prostratum is federally listed as endangered. It is known from three sites that together constitute less than one acre north of Ione in Amador County.
