Peduncles not subtended by bracts or bracts not membranous, 3–5+ × 1–3+ mm. Phyllaries whitish to yellowish, 5–9 × 2–4 mm. 2n = 34.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–Jul.
Habitat: Clays and/or calcareous soils, limestone, grasslands
Elevation: 10–300 m
