Cauline leaves 40–90 × 2–6 mm, blade lanceolate to linear, base tapered to clasping. Flowers: calyx lobes ovate, 5–6.5 × 1.4–2.3 mm, apex acuminate to caudate. 2n = 48.


Phenology: Flowering May–Aug.
Habitat: Moist woodlands, forests.
Elevation: 300–700 m.

Discussion

Variety angustissimus occurs in northern and central California.
