Leaves opposite, cauline (8–)13–40 × 6–14 mm, blade ovate to spatulate, oblanceolate, or lanceolate, margins sharply serrate. Flowers: calyx lobes lanceolate, (3.5–)4–7 × 0.6–1.5 mm, apex acuminate; corolla 9–12 mm, glandular-pubescent externally, glandular-pubescent internally, sometimes glabrous or ± glandular-pubescent adaxially, abaxial lobes white to ochroleucous, sometimes tinged lavender; staminode glabrous or distal 1.5–2.5 mm sparsely pilose, hairs yellow, to 0.4 mm.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Rocky and talus slopes, rock outcrops, coniferous forests.
Elevation: 600–2700 m.
