Basal leaves: blade narrowly oblanceolate, apex acuminate. Cauline leaves: blade lanceolate, apex acuminate or acute. Fruits 3–4.5 mm wide; stigma subentire.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Jul.
Habitat: Open chaparral, cypress woodland
Elevation: 1200-1700 m

Discussion

Variety piutensis is known from the Piute Mountains, Kern County.
